The Telegraph builds on digital success with key appointments

The Telegraph today announced a raft of key, senior digital appointments as it seeks to build on the success of its multi-platform strategy, which recently saw the publisher make its debut on Snapchat.

In 2017, The Telegraph has become the leading quality news publisher in the UK, growing month on month throughout the first half of the year, reaching 25.4m digital unique visitors in June (Comscore).

There are three appointments:

Rob Owers – Director of Video Content. In this position, Owers will renew strategy for video content. Owers was previously Head of Partnerships at Twitter and prior to this Executive Producer at Sky News.

Jasper Fulcher – Snapchat Editor. Fulcher will lead a new team of dedicated content editors, working with designers to build on the successful launch on Snapchat. Fulcher has worked on the Daily Mail’s Snapchat edition for the last two years.

Mike Wright – Head of Trending Content. In this role, Wright will be responsible for attracting attracting new audiences to The Telegraph on social platforms. Wright is a social media expert with a track record of growing audiences at The Mirror and Joe.co.uk.

Owers joined The Telegraph this week, alongside Wright. Fulcher joins The Telegraph in September.
