The Telegraph announces new editorial appointments to its sport team

Nick Hoult  has been named The Telegraph’s Chief Cricket Correspondent, with Scyld Berry becoming Chief Cricket Writer, it was announced today.

Scyld will continue to write and cover the game for The Telegraph in his new role, having  decided to step back from the Correspondent position. Nick is promoted from his current role of Cricket News Correspondent and begins his new position with immediate effect.Adam Sills, Head of Sport at The Telegraph, said: “Scyld has a distinguished track record covering the game and I’m delighted that he will continue to be an unmissable part of The Telegraph’s cricket coverage.   Nick brings a wealth of experience to his new role and will lead our coverage of the game into an exciting new period’.
