TMG Subscription Numbers – February 17, 2022
Telegraph Media Group (TMG) remains focused on a subscriber-first strategy underpinned by long term investment in The Telegraph’s digital transformation: the numbers that reflect the success of our business are our subscription numbers.
TMG’s transformation will continue into the following years and the 10-1-23 strategy remains central to our vision – namely the aim to reach 10 million registrants and 1 million subscriptions to the Telegraph by 2023.
We are transparent with our core monthly subscription numbers which are omni-channel. We also share both volumes and average revenue per subscription, as below:
In January 2022, The Telegraph had:
737,839 subscriptions across print and digital, with 17,690 net new subscriptions this month
Digital = 564,413 Print = 173,426
ARPS (blended average revenue per subscription): £173.55
Weekly average number of active subscriptions across the prior financial month. This is for the 4 weeks of January from the 3rd of January until the 30th of January. The Subscriptions and ARPS (annual net revenue per subscription) totals are independently verified by PwC. The last audit took place for the period ending December 2021. The next audit will take place for the March financial month period ending 3rd April 2022.
