The Telegraph launches new daily puzzle – Panagram
The Telegraph has launched a new word game called Panagram – adding to its portfolio of brilliant daily brain-teasers.
The objective is simple: use the nine letters supplied to form as many four-letter words as possible. All of the words must include one central letter.
Panagram, created by the Telegraph’s expert puzzles team, is suitable for all ages and levels of ability. But finding all the words, including the nine-letter Panagram, will test those with even the most adept vocabularies. For players needing assistance, a hint function can help along the way, as well as a ‘helpful gaps’ feature which makes it easier to spot words you are missing.
To add to the fun, Panagram features attainable ranks. As you find more words, you’ll rise through the levels, starting as a humble Word Finder and rising to Word Perfect, if you find all the available words. Streaks and achievements can be earned for this game, as in all the Telegraph’s digital puzzles and you can also share the rank you achieved and the words you found.
The name Panagram comes from a combination of the words ‘pangram’, a piece of text containing every letter of the alphabet, and ‘anagram’, a word or phrase formed by rearranging the letters of a different word or phrase.
This new game is the latest in the portfolio of brilliant brain-teasers including Cross Atlantic and PlusWord.
Dan Silver, Telegraph General Manager of Puzzles & Games, said: “I’m delighted to launch Panagram, our most addictive puzzle yet. Simple to pick up but impossible to put down, it’s a word game with something for everybody. This new game adds to our portfolio of puzzles that are all accessible via our Puzzles app. Whether you’re a humble Word Finder or a bona fide Word Genius, you’ll want to make Panagram part of your daily routine.”
A new Panagram will be published every day at midnight (GMT/BST) via The Telegraph’s Puzzles website and app.
In 2022, The Telegraph launched its new Puzzles website. The Puzzles app, launched in March 2023, also includes Crosswords, Mini Crossword, Killer Sudoku, Sudoku, Kakuro, and Codewords.
