The Telegraph has a long and celebrated history in puzzles. It was the UK’s first quality newspaper to publish a daily Cryptic Crossword in 1925. The Cryptic Crossword is now considered one of the most popular and well-known crosswords in the world.
Building on this success, in 2022 the Telegraph launched a puzzles website, and new games Plusword and Panagram were released in 2022 and 2023 respectively, both of which are now available to play in the Telegraph app.
Jo Coughlin, General Manager - New Products, said:“The Telegraph’s award-winning puzzles offering continues to go from strength to strength with the inclusion of puzzles in the Telegraph app. This investment enhances the experience for subscribers who can enjoy games such as Plusword and Panagram in an easily accessible format.”
Note
*Telegraph Puzzles won the International Media News Association award for Best Subscription Niche Product in 2023. The Telegraph was the only UK national publisher to receive a first place award at the ceremony in New York.
