Telegraph Puzzles Celebrates First Anniversary
Since its launch 12 months ago, The Telegraph’s dedicated Puzzles website has had rapid growth, contributing to TMG surpassing the milestone of one million subscriptions last month.
In the past year, Telegraph Puzzles launched a new flagship crossword, Cross Atlantic, PlusWord, now our most popular puzzle, and another favourite, Panagram. Two additional games, the Mini Crossword and Killer Sudoku, have also launched, as well as the dedicated Puzzles app.
The Puzzles website and app offer users a bespoke, fully interactive experience, with puzzles of differing difficulty levels to challenge solvers of all abilities. Streaks and achievements are featured for players to keep track of their progress. Streaks lets players showcase their prowess by solving games on consecutive days. Achievements, meanwhile, are in-game rewards that players can earn by solving their favourite puzzles, or tackling new ones. These range from milestones recognising the number of individual puzzles a user has completed, to accolades recognising players who solve puzzles first thing in the morning (‘Early Riser’) or in the evening (‘Night Owl’).
Jo Coughlin, General Manager - New Development, said: “I’m proud of all that Telegraph Puzzles has achieved in its first year. In 12 months we’ve been able to transform our offering. Whether you're a humble Word Finder or a bona fide Word Genius, Telegraph Puzzles has something for everyone, no matter how little time you might have, or how experienced a solver you are.”
Join us on our website or app today and play special birthday editions of Panagram, the Mini Crossword and PlusWord. The Puzzles app can be downloaded from the App Store for Apple devices and from Google Play for Android devices. To celebrate one whole year of our Puzzles website, we’re offering 6 months’ access free of charge. Sign up here.
